Ok, I know i didn't blog last week and i almost wasn't going to this week because I haven't really found anything that annoyed me the past week.....UNTIL NOW.

You Know What Grinds My Gears?! Over-sensitivity to racism.

I was reading news on N4G.com, your number 1 source for gaming news all over the industry, when I came across an article talking about how there is an outcry against Valve's upcoming game Left 4 Dead 2. What is it about you ask? Well apparently some people find the game "racist" because several of the zombies are black......

WTF IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE?! Left 4 Dead 2 is not the first game to be accused of being racist. Resident Evil 5, which was set in Africa, was accused of being racist because the player took control of a white man and shot zombies/aliens(?) who happened to be Africans.

THIS IS STUPID! Its a no win situation for the game developers. How realistic would it be if you made a game set in Africa and not put Africans it? How can you set a game in New Orleans, which has a big African-American population, and not have black people in it? If you include them you are racist. If you exclude them you are racist.

Its not like these games make racial slurs toward said black zombies. I don't mean to single out black people here but why is it that they are the only ones crying racism about everything? I played as a white American solider in Metal Gear Solid 4 and killed middle eastern soldiers. I did not hear anything about that game being racist.

Society has come a long way when it comes to racism if you need proof, America elected the first African-American president last year. Racism will never fully disappear because it is a subjective opinion. However, instead of trying to help lessen racism, some people just complain about it which only hampers the efforts of lessening racism.

People need to relax and realize that not everything is intended to be racist. If I am gonna play a game set in African then I expect it to be realistic and have Africans, if its set in Japan then it should have Japanese people. White people get shot in games/movies all the time you don't hear them crying racism.

Some random thoughts:

Modern Warfare 2's Prestige Edition which includes a special edition of the game, an artbook, a fully functioning pair of night vision goggles, and a plastic head where you can rest the goggles when not in use, has been priced at $149.99 American. So for us Canadians it will probably be $169-ish. So expensive, I suggest not buying it and hope they overproduce and end up having to sell it for like 60 bucks.

"Dont Trust Me" by 3Oh!3 has been the best song I have heard in the last month....sad.

And like Jenna Jameson's nice breast implants, I AM GONE!

Saw Public Enemies today, I thought it would have been better. It was an ok movie, not bad but nothing great either. With the cast it had I was expecting it to be a great movie that would wash the bad aftertaste Transformers 2 left behind. While it was alot better than Transformers 2 I was left wanting to see a really good movie. So when I got home I looked for my Eastern Promises dvd and watched that. I highly recommend this movie, although it is not the type you can just watch on any given day, it is very well directed, great script, great acting, great movie.

Another thing I would like to add in what was quite a productive Canada Day, is that I have beaten Killzone 2 and god damn it was that dissapointing. They made the entire story as if you were gonna attack the main leader of Helghan, so when I beat Colonel Radec and found out he was the final boss it was just like "Wtf....thats it?" Also, by the end of the game I didn't feel like we made any difference in the war cus it just went from one battle to another and nothing caught you like Call of Duty 4's nuke explosion. So overall, Killzone 2: great graphics, deep multiplayer, average story campaign.

So now on to my weekly segment: YOU KNOW WHAT REALLY GRINDS MY GEARS?!

First things first, the recent Michael Jackson cock sucking. Dont get me wrong the man is a musical legend, I respect him and didnt care much for his legal troubles. So yes his death does deserve the amount of attention it is getting. However, I was surprised that his album sales has sky rocketed. Like really? Did all these ppl just hear about Michael Jackson now? If they were fans shouldn't they have had these albums? I would understand if it was like a special edition of the albums in memory the Michael Jackson but they are not. So now what I am seeing is the same thing that happened when Heath Ledger died. Now its "cool" to like Michael Jackson and in a few weeks we'll see alot of ppl wearing Michael Jackson t-shirts. Stupid. Where were all these people when Michael Jackson was going through hard times? Where was his family? The same family that was on TV talking about how to fans Michael Jackson was just "an idol" but to them he was "family". They werent there when he needed them most. People's worth should be higher when they are alive, not when they are dead.

The overall quality of "mainstream music". So far the 2000s must be the worst era of music in the history of music. There was a time where music can be mainstream and still be of great quality. Now its just so shit, I was listening to the radio and had to keep switching because for every 1 ok song there were like 4 horrible ones after it. I turn to Kiss 92.5, Flow 93.5 and Virgin Radio and have to hear songs about "birthday sex" and flo-rida rapping/singing about how some girl's lips "taste like sugar". WTF IS THAT SHIT?!

The Los Angeles Clippers. How the hell is this team still around?! 2 winning seasons in like 30 years? Horrible. They dont know what theyre doing over there and a great talent like Blake Griffin will waste probably 7 years of his career there just like Elton Brand.

Transformers 2. My god that movie had so much potential. Poor pacing and poor script prevented it from being a good summer block buster. Me and my friend discussed the film at like 9 in the morning and came up with an entire storyline that would have been way better than that movie. I could have made a better movie using my old Transformers toys. Despite all the hate Michael Bay gets, I have liked most of his movies and Transformers 2 is only the second Bay movie that I am not too big a fan of. The movie was just so long and bloated that even if I buy the Hi-Def Blu-Ray Disc ill probably watch it once and the rest just to show off how good blu-ray is. Sad.

Hmmm, I guess the past week wasnt been too bad, cant think of anything else thats been gear grinding.

PS, download some music by Muse, theyve been around for a while but I only came across them now. They're a pretty good band from the UK.

ITS HOT, IM SWEATING, SO LETS GET STRAIGHT TO THIS SHIT!!

YOU KNOW WHAT REALLY GRINDS MY GEARS?!

Hot weather/summer, many people love summer cus you get to do a lot of outdoor stuff like play sports, go on a picnic, go fishing, etc. In my opinion SUMMER SUCKS!! I cant stand hot, humid, sticky weather to the point where I can have a bad day and be mad just cus its hot. Im moving to the Yukon Territories and live with a pack of wolves.

Sony Computer Entertainment. Ive been wanting to talk about this for a while now. Sony is being run by a bunch of monkeys. Seriously, they are so out of touch with what PS3 owners want. The first thing on their list should be A DAMN PRICE DROP! Even though i think ppl are just being cheap, its 100 dollars....save up a bit then buy it, god. I want them to drop the price not cus im supporting the people, but cus i dont want Sony to die out due to poor sales. So if dropping the price is what they need to do to stay in contention then do it! Spending more money to develop the PSP GO was a stupid move, it looks good but its essentially the same thing but more flash. Besides, their true success is measured by how successful the PS3 sells and right now they're third in the console race (technically second cus who cares about the Wii).

Bathroom doors that you have to PUSH to GET IN and PULL to GET OUT. Why? Because if I just washed my hands the last thing i wanna do is touch the door handle to pull it open cus some ppl dont wash their hands or have the swine flu. If it was one of those doors u push to get out then its all good cus i can use my foot keeping me in safe distance from contact with germs and viruses.

People who try to act all slick then suddenly cut into the line for the bus, train or any other lines. I get violent thoughts when I see these people.....

Perez Hilton. There are gay people who can act like normal people, for example Elton John, Freddie Mercury, and Ellen DeGeneres. Then there's Perez Hilton. He tries too hard to be gay as if highlighting his hair pink wasn't enough. I saw that video he made talking about how the Black Eyed Peas' punched him and seriously he fulfills every gay stereotype requirement. Moreover, he is a hypocrite by calling Will.I.Am. derogatory terms for gay people. GO IMPALE YOURSELF ON A STICK PEREZ AND NOT LIKE IT FOR ONCE!!

KFC's "Toonie Tuesday". When I came to the great country of Canada one of the things that amazed me was the fact you can get 2 pieces of fried chicken and fries for 2 dollars. Fast forward 11 years later: KFC is no longer the only mainstream chicken place due to the meteoric rise of Popeyes and KFC's "Toonie Tuesday" is nothing more than rip-off that costs you around 3 dollars now....for shame Poulet Frit Kentucky.

K, im sure I had more but I can't remember them right now.

TRANSFORMERS 2 is getting HAMMERED by critics, but I dont care its a Michael Bay film about giant cool looking robots, why the hell would you look for a deep storyline? That's like listening to 50 Cent and expecting songs about the morality in life. All you need to know is that it features: "HEART STOPPING ACTION" "STUNNING GRAPHICAL PRESENTATION" "BATTLE BETWEEN 2 ROBOT FACTIONS" and "A MEGAN FOX BACKSHOT"
To be honest, there is no ass on that whatsoever...but its Megan Fox, she plays Mortal Kombat so....she wins.

Never Call A Black Dude a F**got Jitsu

So a little drama happened during the MMVA's this weekend. And in my opinion, its funny as hell.

Famous scandal blogger Perez hilton got into an argument with the Black Eyed Peas, mostly between Fergie, Will.i.am, and their stage manager, which resulted in Mr. Hilton posting on twitter to tell his followers to call the cops. THis whole thing is very comical.

In my opinion, Perez deserved all those hits. Here's a "man", a term I use loosely", who basically makes a living bashing, humiliating and smearing people's name. Taking celebrities, who spend almost 75% of their lives entertaining and catering to everyone, that their own personal lives almost suffer. Sure we don't see their bad sides, but who doesnt have one.( If you think you have one, then you're an idiot of epic proportions. ) Along comes Perez and he exposes everyone for who they " really are", Skewing the media's view of the celebrities that he "exposes".

Now this idiot starts talking shit or "gossiping" about Fergie, or the Black eyed Peas, about their song and how he doesnt like it. (If i remember correctly, he doesn't have a C.D., nor Single, nor a Record Deal, So his opinion on music is invalid). And apperalty they (B.E.P) weren't that too happy.

During the rehersal for the MMVA's, one of the B.E.P's entourage shoulder'd Perez, so he took it personal. During an after show party, Will.i.am confronted him and told him he doesnt want Perez bloging about the B.E.P's anymore. In a heated argument. Hilton left to go to a different club. and Will was also there. He told Perez that he needs to respect him and his band, which He Should of, but didnt.( how can you talk gossip and news about celebrities when you don't respect them, thats just hater-ism).

Thats when Perez dropped the bomb.

He called Will gay and a faggot. Resulting in a fight outside the club. and Perez reciving a cut underneath his eye. He called the police and they weren't gonna come immediatly due to the fact it was a busy night for them. So he posted on twitter and got his follwoers to call the cops for him

So there are alot of things that are messed up with this. And its you're opinion of who was or should be at fault. But It is entirely Perez's fault.

The bottom line is Perez is a hater. He just plain dishes out hate. And the second he recieves backlash, he becomes a total puss. If u spread the hate, u better back it up. if u can't take it, dont dish it.

Like in all honesty, he derserved that, and hes gonna come out and start saying violence isnt the answer. In order for there to be violence, there must be anger, which he started. You cant say you were innocent in this whole ordeal, whenyou started the war.

However the highlight of that whole ordeal comes from an outsider. Mr. John Mayer. who basically summed up Perez's problem. You never call a black man, or any man who a) can kick ur ass b) has people who can kick your ass c) has back up while the only back up you have is the tranny known as Lady Gaga. YOU ARE NOT GONNA WIN. John was willing to train Perez in the israeli martial arts, or an ancient style of martial arts. "Never Call A Black Dude a Faggot Jitsu". Everybody knows this, well, except Biggots, racists, and apperantly Perez hilton ( who is "very straight" to begin with). Why. Why WHy WHy would you call a man that. Even the Gays are pissed that he used faggot. Like WTF.

And seriously. Twitter to get ppl to call the police for you. Maybe if u weren't such a douche, they would come in time.

the Dynamic duos

So I've been watching alot of internet and dvd comedic videos. All of the videos I've been watching have been featuring Duos.

Majority of the time, its almost a clash of two extremes, the serious and the joker, resulting in the some of the most funniest outcomes. Jake and Amir, Spongebob and Squidward, and Simon Pegg and Nick Frost ( Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead)
Another famous pairing is the Similar style pairings, like two storms joining into the superstorm, resulting in a funny path of destruction. Cheech and Chong, Spongebob and Patrick, and Will Farrel and John C. Riely . What all those duos have in common is the fact that they brings you into a situation and relationship that can be understandable. ( Neighbours, best friends, co-workers) and they push it to the edge.

Life can still surprise us

My oh my, you know every now and then that you think that someone is into you. Well I think I've found that girl and *drum roll*! That girl is Kristen Bell, yes anti-dramatic I know, but seriously this girl has been in a lot of things I watch and heck, even PLAY.

So this little discovery of mine actually happened a few nights ago as I watched "Fanboys" under the recommendation from Mik. I gotta say though, I'm kind of sad that I didn't discover this earlier, but it's amazing. I started watching her in Veronica Mars which served as a guilty pleasure of mine just because the show wasn't all that mainstream but watched it anyway. That was in 2004, and that lasted around 3 years.

Next up which to my surprise was her appearance as Lucy Stillman in Assassin's Creed which officially made her one of my dream girls just because as you may all know, I'm a nerd at heart and any girl that participates nerdiness is an instant turn on.

At some point, Kristen Bell decided to give me more signs of her love for me by jumping into movies that I would watch by starring in "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" and "Fanboys." Now these movies are comedies at heart but different styles which made it even more obvious that she was madly madly in love with me. Now being the clueless guy that I am, I continued to blindly ignore her signs by enjoying her movies!

But I guess, her final proposal to elope was to ultimately show me much she knew me as a person. She recently appeared in Heroes for some episodes which is a series that normally is more associated as a "nerdy" television series which I was happy and surprised to see her in. To go along with this, she currently does the voice of Gossip Girl in the show with the same name which as you may all I am a not so SECRET viewer of.

The fact is, Kristen Bell has been speaking to me all this time through film, television and even video games, so Kristen Bell, if you see this:

GUESS WHO'S BACK WITH A BRAND NEW RAP!

So, Eminem's new album leaked online and i've been listening to it straight for 2 days now. I gotta say, i love the album. Its psychotic and funny at the same time without sacrificing Em's rapping ability even when he plays around and raps like Achmed the Dead Terrorist (look him up on youtube he is hilarious). His lyrics can turn alot of people off due to their over the top graphic and/or offensive nature, BUT people familiar with Em should know what to expect from the Great White Hope of rap. The album comes out Tuesday, May 19, 2009 so go get that album and help welcome Eminem back by making him go Platinum in his first week!!

In other news, me and my friends saw X-Men Origins: Wolverine and I bought the game tied-in with the movie. In my last post i talked about the two with great optimism. So what did I think of them? I couldn't write about them sooner because I was still in a state of fanboy euphoria that my post would have been in all CAPS and say "awesome" every other sentence. Now that I have come back down to Earth I can write my honest opinions about the movie and the game.

[ ! ] SPOILER WARING [ ! ]

The movie was a good, enjoyable, "summer blockbuster" film. After seeing the movie I thought it was AWESOME. But after some days of reflecting on it, i'd say the movie was "frustratingly good". I say this because while it was a good movie it could have been ALOT better and as a fan I wanted it to be super amazing so I can tell my Dark Knight worshiping friends off. The problem was they added characters that didn't really need to be there and instead of giving characters proper mini cameos they made it seem like the characters had an important part to play but really didn't. For example, Gambit was ok but he was basically in the movie to give Wolverine directions and be his pilot. The movie also tried to be too dramatic a la Dark Knight which they shouldn't have tried. Its a movie about WOLVERINE, one of the most violent characters in comics, it should have been a wall-to-wall action packed film. The movie started off so well with an epic montage and you sit there like "YEAH LET'S DO THIS!!!!" but doesn't make you feel like that for the entire movie. Overall, it was still an enjoyable movie which is what matters most despite all the flaws.

The day after seeing the movie i rushed to my local EB Games and bought the video game tied to the movie. I won't go to too much detail about it cus then this will be one long post. To make a long story short, the game is solid. Dismembering enemy soldiers as Wolverine never gets old and is very satisfying. Its very repetitive but to me that only meant repeating alot of fun crap. The game is worth checking out, for the more cautious gamers rent it, its not a long game and replay value depends on the person. I bought it cus im a big fan and i'd want the actual hard copy of the game in my house. If you're gonna buy it make sure you ask the EB Games people the code to unlock the bonus training arena, something I didn't do so I have to go back and ask them for it.

To wrap things up, I thought I would also follow up on my comments about Street Fighter 4. Ernest saw that the comment and demanded a rematch. So a rematch I gave him cus I am a man of the people and I give the people what they want. AND the results? Total domination by yours truly: Mik. Despite the strength of Ernest's Zangief it was the speed and methodical offense of my Vega that prevailed. In all fairness Ernest has not had extensive play time with a PS3 controller and can PROBABLY beat me if he used a fight pad. That is why I am retiring to avoid such an event.

PS. I think it would be cool to spend a day with Mark Cuban talking about mavericks basketball and eating some Dairy Queen while yelling at other players' moms.

Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, Can't Lose

It's been a while since we last amped this blog to be next biggest thing in this ever growing blog-o-sphere that I've posted. The reason for this absence is that I felt like each and every single one had to be meaningful, to be perfect, and just something that would appeal to my "writers." We (Mik and I) wanted the perfect idea to strike us before another blog idea would come out, however, it just felt like to us that hell would freeze over before anything can happen.

So in the end, I guess I realized what writing has really done for me. It's served as a great medium to channel some opinions and heck, it's even helped at times where I needed to get some feelings off my chest. So from now on, we're just going to write whenever we want, about whatever we want!

As for me, what have I been doing during the downtime? I've watched numerous playoff games be it hockey or basketball. You could almost say that sports is serving as a form of therapy. For those who know me, the past few months have been quiet stressful because my own poor mistake and while I keep on trucking everyday to make sure I'll get past it. There are stretches where that drive gets really low and doubts happen. I'll admit, there are days where I actually want to give up for a bit and just shut it all down. Maybe some of this was supposed to happened because I wasn't supposed to reach the top. Because of this and as I have always been, I've kept this mostly to myself.

Sports be it playing, watching it,a movie, reading about it, heck just about anything that gets me into the state of mind where competition dominates. For me, sports have always dominated my life and growing up playing baseball has always allowed me to just leave everything on the field, on the court, and every game that's where it'll all be. The crack of the bat, the sound of a swish, pure serenity and a moment of total bliss in which a group of people collectively reaching for a single goal of winning that single game and hell even for the rest of the season.

Sports taught me the single most important life lesson and it's that never be afraid to give it your all in the pursuit of it all. To be "perfect" even though failure might be the end result. While I have learned that lesson, I often at times hold back from being "perfect" because frankly failure scares me, to be that exposed in the open having nothing at all. Through this whole ordeal, I've realized that I can't just coast doing the bare minimum and expect to do what I want in life. This new chance if everything works out, I'm going to stray away from self handicapping myself. I'm gonna be perfect and nothing short of it.

The #4 pick of the 1991 NBA draft, The second most dominating shot blocker was drafted into the NBA, by the Denver Nuggets, leading them past the top seeded Seattle Supersonics in the 93-94 Playoffs. Avg. a near double-double in his career, obtaining the Most defensive player 4 times in a row, and Multi-lingual, speaking English, French, Spanish, Portugese, and 5 different African Languages, Took his Final Bow at the age of 42, the end of an 18 year career.

I am talking about Congolese Dikembe Mutombo Mpolondo Mukamba Jean-Jacques Wamutombo. THe Oldest player in the Nba right now, suffered a career-ending injury during the 2nd game of the Rockets-Blazers playoff series. After the Game, he called it a career.

I am gonna make a prediction, start of next season, the nuggets will retire his number. And he will lead the 2010 Class of Inductees for the hall of fame.

3 WEEKS BUB!

That's right people get ready to gel the sides of your hair up and grow some sideburns because in approximately 3 weeks, a freight train of whoop-ass with no breaks also known as X-Men Origins: Wolverine comes roaring to theaters near you! I have always been a fan of Wolverine and regardless of how the movie does in reviews i will probably love it more than the critically acclaimed Dark Knight. That's right i said it!! Some of you might know that the unfinished version of the movie was leaked online (for shame...) BUT seriously the movie is coming out in 3 weeks, why waste your time downloading a poor unfinished version of the movie? So just force yourself to wait and watch X-Men 1 to 3 to hold you over.

To add to the excitement, X-Men Origins: Wolverine THE VIDEO GAME comes out the same day as the movie! Video games based on movies or comic books for that matter have not always turned out well (check out that disaster they called the Ironman video game). However, I have a hunch this game will be great for a couple of reasons. First, the graphics look awesome based on numerous gameplay videos I have seen so far. Second, Wolverine is able to literally cut his enemies into pieces! Gone are the days of Wolverine clawing away at bad guys only to have it look like a catfight between two highschool girls with incredible athleticism. Instead, when Wolverine strikes at any part of the ever-so delicate human anatomy....that part is coming off! Fans would finally be able to play as their favorite adamantium clad mutant in his purest form.

So, if you happen to be a Wolverine or an overall superhero fan, I suggest you check out the movie and the game you won't regret it! And if you do regret it, I will personally stop bragging to Ernest about how i swept him in a few matches of Street Fighter 4, after telling me he was amazing.

A soda that defines an era

So I was at Shoppers drug mart last night. While roaming the Drink aisle, I stumbled upon a sale that I couldnt pass up. Jones Soda, which normal sells for $1.50-2.00, depending where you go, was on sale for $.99. So, in search for flavours, I found my favourite flavour, Green Apple. But upon further search, I saw an even more intriguing flavour than my Green Nectar of the Gods. " Orange ' You Glad For Change' ", Featuring a picture of President Barack Obama during his celebatory speech.

All I thought was, 'wow'. The drink perfect portrays the current era, and Coke and Pepsi has Nothing on that. But it sparked a question in my mind.

Who really drinks Jones Soda? Is it the those really demanding change in the World, or those you want to rebel against the world?

I Estimate that majority of the purchasers of Jones soda are between the ages of 18-29, the future of the world right now. And those "wanted" change. But Change for what. Change for now, or Change for the Future.

But here's the kicker, living in CANADA, people still supported Barack. While at the same time.... they have no clue about the Canadian government. Sure we are tied to the States in what we do, and vice versa. But If you ask Any Normal Person on the Street, " What will Obama's change do for you? " They either Speak as if they live in America, or They dont know. I know It's a little off topic, but It seemed a little to tempting not to write about it.

So back to topic, The soda that portrays who we are, what we believe in, and displays our artistic side with tis labels. The Soda that Represents Change in a soda form. And change is Orange flavoured.

Forget March Madness. How about Stable April?

What up what up folks? First and foremost, I would like to welcome you to our blog. However you may have stumbled upon our blog, I thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope that you continue to visit us. So why a blog? Why now when blogs have become a dime a dozen? Well for the three of us, it’s just another way for us to vent and express our ideas when we aren’t hanging out.

The idea for the blog actually came up a few days ago when Mik and I were chatting on MSN in our typical randomness that this idea came up. We decided to include Ernest since he’s one of our close friends in our group. We took awhile to come up with a name that would best represent us and we finally decided with “Bus 24” as our blog name. As the caption under the name clearly says, we are three guys who have faced constant change however; the 24 bus was the same bus we took every day.

I have known Ernest since elementary school, in fact I was an ass and actually bullied him for a bit, but people change over time and we just became good friends in elementary school. If memory serves me right, we met Mik in our grade nine Science class where we became classmate friends and continued to have classes together throughout high school. We are now in our second year of post-secondary schooling and still maintain that friendship gained in high school. Gone are those days of taking this 24 bus together from school, those afterschool walks to the mall, and anything high school related.

Replaced are random trips to our beloved Markham Station, late night gaming sessions, random raves & rants about anything, and car rides to undetermined destination.

So to top it off, why a blog now? Because forget March Madness, April is the month where champions are crowned and what better time to start one. Yes that was a clear reference to sports and as a sports fan; I have come to appreciate the excitement that April has. The end of the NCAA March Madness tournament ends in April, the PGA Masters take place this time, MLB season starts, and both NHL and NBA post-season begins. While not everyone will watch the sports listed, remember the French Open is just around the corner in May!

Over the course of these few weeks, two of my sports idols have been in the limelight of their respective sports. The first being Michael “Air” Jordan, the greatest basketball player to have ever stepped foot on the hardwood in my lifetime was recently inducted into Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. While this is a great honour for any player, for Jordan it came as more of sadness than happiness. During the press conference, Jordan said:

“I don’t like being up here for the hall of fame because at that time your basketball career is completely over, I was hoping this day would be 20 more years, or actually go in when I’m dead and gone.”

This is why this guy is one of my idols. The passion he has basketball is admirable and serves as a good example when I approach my career goals. MJ’s competitiveness drives him to become the best and you know that stripping him away from basketball ultimately strips him away from the most meaningful in his life. Whether you agree with me or not, I don’t ever picture Jordan being a coach in the near future, he would much rather be playing on the court then be coaching. From the man whose swagger on the court was borderline cocky to the same man who gave you memorable plays like “The Shot” and game winner over Bryon Russell in Game 6 of the 1998 NBA Finals, MJ might have retired from playing basketball, but basketball will never leave MJ.

As for my second idol, Mr. Eldrick Tont “Tiger” Woods is currently pursuing his 5th Masters title as I write this entry. Like MJ, Tiger is best golfer that I have seen while growing up and is probably the single reason why I follow golf as much as I do. A previous Stanford alum, (although I don’t attend Stanford, I was previously accepted and considered the alma mater I never had) Tiger turned pro in 1997 while I was still in elementary school. In many ways, MJ and Tiger are extremely alike, both dominate their sports, however with a closer examination, Tiger’s mere presence on the green much like MJ intimidates all other competitors. Easily put, Tiger Woods is Golf. Donning victory red this Sunday, we will all witness another great doing his job.
